Hadih! I'm Denise Halfyard. I am a proud Wet'suwet'en, Tsimshian, Gitxsan entrepreneur. I'm from the Laksilyu clan, which means Small Frog in Wet'suwet'en.
I am a co-owner of Halfyard Productions. I am also the founder and CEO of The Frog Radio, a station devoted to Indigenous music of all genres from Turtle Island, 24/7. I am also the event coordinator for the Tears to Hope Society, a non-profit organization that supports the families of our Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG) and Residential School survivors. I feel it's important that we share our Indigenous culture and raise awareness of social issues with those around us, as it teaches those willing to listen and learn.
I'm a professional voice actor specializing in commercial, E-Learning and non-fiction audiobooks. I'd describe my voice as soothing with a friendly informative style that is perfectly suited to long form projects. I've voiced many corporate E-Learning modules for Indigenous and non-Indigenous North American and European clients.
